Currently pursuing a PhD at the prestigious HighWire Centre for Doctoral Training of Lancaster University, UK. Dhruv’s PhD involves developing radical-digital solutions to reduce loneliness amongst the elderly in the UK. Dhruv looks to harness the potential of social innovation to mitigate the problem of age-related loneliness through his PhD research. Dhruv also takes up part-time ethnography consultation work.

Dhruv is an associate fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK and teaches on the creative technologies course at the School of Computing and Communications. This is an undergraduate course that introduces students to the basics of creative technologies such to develop interactive digital systems. Dhruv is also a visiting fellow at Adianta School of Learning and Innovation, India.

Managed several design research projects for leading clients such as The Boeing Company, Herman Miller, Nokia, Nokia Siemens Network, Idea Cellular etc. Majority of Dhruv’s work has been amongst rural and BOP consumers in Asia and Africa to understand their technology usage and adoption.
